AAh, right; must go look for one of these, better than the Mophie I have
and feels a bit slick to feel secure with.

On my iGo charger it's a recessed button on the face of the rectangle. it's
vary easily felt. It's recessed so that you don't accidentally hit it wile
it's in your pocket. I've had my charger for 2 years next month and it has
provided a really handy means of recharging my iPhone when I'm not at home
and when I am, it easily plugs into a wall outlet to recharge it's internal
battery and becomes a wall power supply. Sense it has 2 USB ports, I can
charge my iPhone and my Bluetooth ear peace at the same time.

I've never found a charge button, where's that?

Beware of non-Apple chargers, we just bought a pretty good look-alike,
hwich was cheap and very nasty, it blew and fried the Mini. Tripped the
house RCD thing in the power box too, so everything else went off. But the
Mini was as dead as it could get and been on to Apple since they are still
under warrantee. Worth being economic with details, doubt they'd be happy
to know you fried it with a foreigner so to speak.

The battery chargers take a USB cable which is supplied with iPhone. It
won't matter if you have the 32 pin connector or the lightening connector.
They both end in a USB plug. Plug it into the USB charger, hit the charge
button and your in business.

Thanks for the very good post, Alan. Does anyone know what chargth would be
best for the iphone 5? Given the new lightningpcable, I am assuming it would
be different from this one.

Another question. If one uses the lightning cable, will a charger for the
iphone 4 work with the irhone 5?
