The solution is in the settings, accessibility, face ID setting, the final setting you have to find is relating to attention. And turn that option off. Sorry, I don’t remember exact wording for the setting because I don’t use face ID. But it is a known issue with alarm on phones with face ID and when the setting for monitoring your attention level.
