You have to share the link to the Android user by email or text message, then they can connect. Of course you should simply use WhatsApp if you want an excellent cross platform app for texting, voice and video calls and which offers full end to end encryption just as Facetime does. I still have a lot of visually impaire dfriends back in Germany and most have iPhones, but almost everybody there uses WhatsApp because pretty much everybody who has a smartphone in Europe uses it and there is never a question whether you can have a video call with somebody because you are not sure if they have an iPhone and can use Facetime..
