Hi,  I have used the kindle app on my iPhone for a number of years, but
haven't used it recently.  Last night I purchased a kindle book and when i
go into the kindle app and open the book, I am struggling to navigate the
book.

I double-tap the screen and see the table of contents button but when I tap
it all I get is "book cover" and "begin selected".  Performing a
three-finger left/right swipe I think is switching pages but things just
aren't reading right.

I realize it could be the actual book that is the problem not the app, but
I wonder if there are some simple things I am missing to get this to work.

iOS 18.3 iPhone 2020SE.
