As Mitch said, the Kindle reader for the iPhone is quite accessible. If you already have an iPhone, there’s no reason to spend the money on something like a Kindle fire, which is also accessible with that screen reader, although I personally don’t like the experience all that much. So if your iPhone is working for you, just get the app and use it and never mind giving Amazon any more of your money for a very substandard tablet.
