Mary, You must add your ecobee3 light to your Apple HomeKit for SIRI to recognize it. When I installed my Ecobee3 light thermostat i had to go to my account in the EcoBee App and select add to my home app. When I did that, the home app opened and asked me to scan the QR Code on the ecobee thermostat screen. I directed my phone camera towards the thermostat’s screen and slowly moved the phone around untill it saw the QR Code. After that, the home app will ask you to name this accessory and choose which room. Just follow the steps and hit done when finished. Sent from my iPhone
