And it could still be your modem/router which could have become defective or which simply may need to be rebooted. Most electronic devices require a reboot at some point and routers are no exception. They also like to be updated, but without knowing what you have and whether it's your own or your ISP's equipment I can't make any further recommendations.

I do know my network information, I just thought if I could at least know what suddenly happened, meaning why doesn’t my phone keep the Wi-Fi settings as it always has. but it doesn’t look like I will ever know that though, and no one else knows for sure either! I would do the following: Contact Apple and see if they could run a diagnostic to check your wi-fi antenna on your phone to see if it could be a hardware failure. Then, I would go ahead and reset the network settings so long as you know your router SSID and password. Since it is only your iPhone that is having issues, I doubt that your internet service will have a clue.
