I tried a few years ago and needed an audiologist to help with setup. At that time my experience was disappointing. Each time the Bluetooth connection activated for the hearing aids--which was often every few seconds--there were annoying spurious beeps. I called tech support for the hearing aid producer although they had no resolution. Neither did Apple support. Apparently there aren't enough hearing aide users who also use VoiceOver. They didn't seem to have any sense of urgency to resolve the problem. Aggravating!
I will try again in the next few weeks and I will report what I learn.
