What I have discovered is it seems to make a difference with saying the "and" between names and lowering your voice pitch.

I do it with SIRI. Hold down the home button or however you do it without the home button. Then say text Eli Elephant and Susie whosy whats it and Sam Super Hero. When you say the "and" drop your voice a little bit. SIRI will ask you what you want to say to the group. Then you say what you want to say then she will confirm and ask if you are ready to send it. You say yes or no and you are done.
