I managed to get it to stop saying “Double tap to open” on the Home Page. I can’t seem to locate an option for the Status Bar. I want to stop VO from saying “Not Charging, when checking the battery status. I only want to know for sure that it is charging when I plug it in. In there, swipe to pronunciation, and double tap. This screen will contain a list of any pronunciation changes you have previously made, and any new ones will be added to this list. To make a new change, just double tap the add button. The screen that comes up is where you enter the current word or phrase, and the new way you want it pronounced. When done, just double tap on the back button to go back to the list of changes and your new change will be part of the list. Hope this helps. He said you might be able to customize what voice over does and doesn't speak. I'm posting this example to show what can be done with the Voiceover dictionary. On the Status bar it says cellular 3 of 3 bars signal strength I wanted to change this so I did this: Put in in the phrase box of 4 bars signal strength Replacement bars now when swiping across the status bar it says cellular 2 bars.
