Bill, only the iPhone 11 & newer have screen recognition. I don't recall which phone that you have. Have you tried going into the app store, finding the app & writing the app developer explaining the problem in detail? I would also suggest using screen recording, found in the control panel, & make a recording of the problem to attach to your email, screen recording video will be saved in the photos app.
