You can maybe check the Today screen on your iPhone and see if the case shows up there, if it doesn't then it's anybody's guess, there will probably be some LED's on the case, but then again one would or should assume that Apple would make their own case show up in the Battery section of the Today Screen which you may have to add as a widget if it's not there.

As for charging pads, any Qi wireless charging pad will do although I would look for one which specifically states it supports the iPhone 12 at least or the iPhone 13 which is better in which case you are sure to get one which supports the latest Apple fast charging standards. Of course if you have a MagSafe case you relaly probably want to get a MagSafe compatible charging pad either from Apple or from a third party like Belkin which makes MagSafe chargers which allow you to charge an iPhone, Apple Watch and Airpods all at the same time. But for one of them be prepared to spend a bit of money, they don't come cheap.
