Yes, in my opinion it should be on as it will improve call quality and I really don't know why you would want to turn off LTE and deal with the slowness of 3G networks especially when we are now on the cusp of 5G and at best you may end up prolonging your battery life by a few minutes. In all the recent phones the LTE chip is not separate as maybe it was in the early days of 4G/LTE and if you do a Google search about whether turning off LTE saves battery most of the articles you find are from 8 or 10 years ago and even then mostly it seems the advice was that it's OK to turn it off if you are in area where there is no LTE coverage anyways.
