Hi Alex, I don’t know about outside the United States, but here in the states, you can exchange or return an audible book by accessing the purchase history in your account, on either the regular website or the mobile website. This deal with doing it in the iOS app is new to me, but this guy insists it works for him. I just don’t see the setting anywhere where it supposed to be.
