I have no problem with battery drain because I press the side switch or power button and let it play in the background, which is the suggested approach for any audio if you don’t want the battery to drain. You can get 6 or 8 times the battery life if you are listening while the phone is locked. If BARD stops playing when you lock the screen, check the BARD app settings under audio settings and make sure play in background is on. If it is and it still stops, toggle it off and on and reboot the phone and all should be well.
