Hi Brant, This is very strange and I wonder if one of you who experience these issues has tried to contact Facebook. I imagine they may have an accessibility department and it might be worth checking this out to see why there are some people who experience this when others find it works perfectly well. My wife has been visiting family in the Philippines for the last few weeks and we used Messenger all the time to communicate and for me it’s like using the native Messages app, I open it up, double tap on her name and read what she wrote or start typing a message to her, then find the Send button and tap it to send the message, it works smoothly and for me is fully accessible. What country are you in? I know Davy who is also having problems is I think in Belgium and I wonder if it could have to do with this, I am in Canada.

I am using an iPhone 6S Plus running iOS 10.2.1 along with the latest version of the Facebook Messenger app as of this afternoon. I can read message threads, but can no longer send messages because I just see several unlabelled buttons, none of which appear to send the message. I wonder whether this has to do with changes that are being gradually rolled out on Facebook's end. In any case, it's quite challenging because the mobile Facebook site does not allow you to send messages on an iOS device, instead prompting me to use the Messenger app. I've had to force the desktop site to load in Safari, which is working for the moment.
