Hi! This gesture with four finger sviping is something like Alttabbing in Windows but there's also another thing closer to the subject. From time to time when I accidentally rest the finger on the left edge of the screen and probably push it a bit harder the App Switcher opens. I guess this has something to do with 3D Touch since I'm using 6S Plus and I can remember blury I've read something about this feature some time ago. The issue is I can't reproduce this on purpose, it just happens accidentally. Originally, it was thought to only work for the iPad family but that is not the case. It does work on the smaller family. Least when I had done my testing with the iPhone 6s and the 7 models. All one have to do is open an app. Now open another app. Do a four fingers swipe from the left side of the screen to the right. This will now let you Slide Over to the previous app that was open.
