A tactile screen protector may help as it may give you a reference point where to perform the swipe to answer a call. Apart from that all you can do is to have a headset handy in your pocket and hope you can plug it in fast enough to answer the call with the button on the remote. I'll check with one of my employees today and see if I can figure out a reliable way to answer without Voiceover, but most likely I wouldn't post any findings until tonight.

If you should find one, let me know. Sometimes when I am out with friends or if my sighted husband happens to look at my phone and turns voice over off, usually they forget to turn it back on. Then when I go to answer, I am unable to complete the task.
