Now, that is a weird one. They both are actually entering text, but acting as
it does when one types a password. I guess, for whatever reason, it isn't
showing up on the screen, so VoiceOver can't read the text in the search box.
I guess I gave up on it too soon before, when I couldn't read anything that I
had written.

Can you do me two favors? First, type your search anyway, even though you're
getting error sounds--you are getting those sounds, right? Once you do, try
searching and see what happens. Next, can you go to www.applevis.com and try to
type into the search field on the main page? If my guess is right, the same
thing will happen there that's happening on Bookshare. Thanks in advance.

I prefer to log onto bookshare via safari so I can add books to my
reading list, rather than downloading them immediately into Voice Dream. Now,
I neither can type into the search box, nor paste anything into it from the
clip board. This worked perfectly before the upgrade. And, this is the only
search box, so far, that I can't type data into. I still can use Voice Dream
to search for books. Does anybody else have this problem? Hopefully not.
