When you say you aren't seeing when new updates are available, like you
have in the past, what do you mean? Are you saying you don't see the
number of updates waiting for you spoken when you flick to the App Store
icon with VoiceOver? If so, this still works for me. I was thinking this
may be related to your speak hints settings in VoiceOver, but I just
tested this and it doesn't seem to have an affect. Have you tried the
usual, i.e. shutting down everything in your App Switcher and powering
your phone off and on?

I'm confused. You say that the only way you see updates is by opening the app
store app and going to the updates tab. If you have automatic updates turned
off, this is the only way that you should be able to see when you've got
updates to apps.
Thanks,

Hi Everyone,
I am using an iPhone 6 software version 8.4.1. I have had automatic updates
turned off because I like to decide what I'm going to update when. Lately, I
have not been seeing when new updates are available as I always did in the
past. The only way I know now, is if I open the App Store App and select the
updates tab.
A somewhat related topic is that though I own the knfbReader, I haven't ever
been notified that there is an update. I am currently still running version
1.5. Does anyone have any ideas how I can update knfbReader? When I went to
the App Store and put knfbReader in the search field, I was told there were no
results. Please help!!! Thanks so much!
