Deidre, When I open the latest version of the Google app, here are the buttons I get :
In the upper left corner of the screen is what I assume is my account button which I described in my last post. It has a small picture of me and says my name when it has focus. When I swipe right once, the next announced button is search field where you type text if searching the old fashioned way. The next swipe right goes to the voice search button which you can use to call up the voice search if speaking okay Google doesn't work. The last button reached when swiping right is Google now which when executed will provide relevant information to your location such as current weather, etc. Finally, they're is a recents button in the top right corner of the screen which for some reason is skipped when swiping through the screen. I assume it shows your recent Google searches. I hope this helps.
