I'm running the latest version like you and one of the first things I did was to sign on using my Google account. Now, when I open the app, I'm still logged in with a button in the top left of the screen with a thumbnail picture which I have on my account. I guess this is like an account or profile button because when I execute it, the settings page you are seeking opens. I don't know if that helps but maybe it will give you something else to try.
