Left to the next and right to the previous seems backwards to me. You can
also do this by touching the screen near the top right. In this case,
previous message is to the left of next message.

Hi all,
I just found out something interesting about navigating mail messages on the
iPhone. I never new that it's possible to go to a previous message or to the
next one while in an open message by using the 3 finger swipe left or right.
It's the same gesture used to change home screen pages.
Funny that one keeps finding out little tricks even after all this time
using iOS interface.
