I tried many clients and the problem is only there if I use vpopmail on the server.
btw, the problem is not in the to or from lines but in the "received from" lines.

This problem is more likely in your mail client, and has nothing to do with vchkpw (which only validates passwords).
The mail client is typically responsible for the contents of the To: and From: headers. Some mail servers re-write that information, but I don't think qmail does.
