Not sure about the vpopmail list, but this exact same argument just finished on the qmail list, which is also an open list - and thus spam friendly. On the qmail list, the major reasons for the opne configuration were ego-based, and political -- which I sincerely hope is not the case on here. How much spam were you getting? I have not been noticing any significant spam on this list. Harry
