Check the uid and gid in the /var/qmail/users/assign file. They should
match your vpopmail uid and vchkpw gid. qmail-local is the program
that is complaining. It reads the uig/gid from the cdb(assign) file
changes to that user then tries to enter the directory. Perhaps
that is the problem
