I've decided to replace the .rpm packages. The new packages contain no functional change, the only change is the ''Obsoletes: '' field which makes updating easier as rpm -U VirtualBox-3.1-... works now. It will take 2 hours from now until all packages are replaced on the download server. Users which have already installed one of the original 3.1.0 .rpm packages don't need to touch anything.
