I would look at how existing RFNoC blocks like the FFT block or FIR filter blocks buffer samples and then "do things with them".   That is perhaps a vague answer,   but I'm not an RFNoC developer myself.  But other existing RFNoC blocks have the same "buffer' samples" requirement.
