Hi Piotr,

for X410, the other ADCs/DACs are unused/left unconnected. We're using 4 ADCs
and 4 DACs on that product.
Given the complexity of the daughterboard to have seamless coverage of 1M to
7.2 GHz without Nyquist gaps and the targeted form factor of the X410, that's a
trade-off we had to make.
For the actual up/down conversion (seeing the complexity per channel), I'd
recommend https://files.ettus.com/manual/page_zbx.html

The phases between TX and RX channels of the device across multiple reboots of
X410 are currently not repeating/coherent.
We're actively looking into the matter because it is a high want feature.
We cannot make promises in terms of performance as of now though.

Hope this helps
Jan

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [USRP-users] Questions regarding USRP X410

Hi all,

I'm considering to purchase a USRP X410 for one of research projects.

I have some questions:

- X410 has 4 Rx and 4 Tx channels with superheterodyne paths - so there are no
quadrature inputs or outputs. RFSoC ZU28DR (which is available on
ZCU111 board that I have some experience with) has 8 ADC inputs and 8 DAC
outputs. If only half (4) of ADCs and DACs are used in X410 what happens to the
other half? Are they unconnected?

- is it confirmed in practice that it can keep constant (~ without temperature
drift) phase offset between Rx and Tx channels from across multiple runs of the
device?

Best Regards,
Piotr Krysik
