I can confirm that your issue is due to software and not a hardware issue.
The fix is released on the maint branch and will be out on the master
branch very shortly.

Can you please apply the one character edit here and rerun your test?
Otherwise you should be able to pull the master branch update in the next
day or two to have the relevant fix commit. I apologize for the
inconvenience and time you've spent debugging.
