Update:

I have another cable:
https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Amphenol-FCI/10110818-2005LF/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMsvnOgGvSjZeOwTQadc946rbBouJzzeCxE%3D
With this cable, The USRP X300 - PC link *works as expected*.
With my Intel XDACBL3M cable, the link *doesn't work*.

When connecting the 10110818-2005LF cable between 2 ports in my NIC
interface and setting up a local network (between enp1s0f1 and enp1s0f2), I
can ping in both directions.
When connecting the Intel XDACBL3M cable between 2 ports in my NIC
interface and setting up a local network (between enp1s0f1 and enp1s0f2), I
can ping in both directions.

Conclusion: the cable works, but not when connecting to a USRP.

Is there any reason that the Intel XDACBL3M cable won't work specifically
with the USRP X300 ports?
Can anybody confirm that they tested a USRP X with an Intel XDACBL3M cable
(or another one from the same series)?
