Configure the terminal for oecore-x86_64 untar the archive execue ./configure -host=strongarm make In the directory (path where untar file-5.18)/file-5.18/magic there is the file magic.mgc. Put this file in (path where install oecore)/sysroots/x86_64-oesdk-linux/usr/share/misc/ Reconfigure the oecore environment and now the command file works.
