Could that be that, due to a "Security upgrade", you have disabled the
"Server" response header? If you're running through Apache httpd, you
probably can't even see the Tomcat server version via HTTP.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to upgrade to Java 1.6, as Java 1.5 is no
longer supported by Sun. Also, mod_jk 1.2.30 is available and
recommended as it's the latest version. Also, httpd 2.2.15 is available.

32-bit JDK of what? Note that compiled Java doesn't care what
architecture you use. If you have native libraries, you'll need to match
the JVM with the target architecture of the native libraries. If you
have no idea what I'm talking about, you should be safe with the 64-bit
version.
