I will look into running both concurrently. My boss understands. The issue is the time it takes to get a machine authorized to be placed on the network. For a server can take several months. Since this is on the legacy network that is going away, getting the authorization is difficult.
I think my boss wants me to do the research and have an plan to migrate if we are forced to do so. We can probably buy some time.
