Flip side: you have gone through the *entire source tree* that you've downloaded *file by file* and *can personally confirm* that there are no "additional modifications or back-doors". Oh, yeah, baby. Leaving aside the question of where you get the "master" source to compare to, and how you confirm that *it* hasn't been tampered with...
