With my list moderator/owner hat on. I have confirmed that only the list moderators and the infrastructure team have direct access to the subscription lists. The evidence available points to the e-mail addresses having been harvested either by parsing one of the list archives or simply by virtue of being a subscriber to the list. There is no evidence that the subscriber list was accessed directly. The action taken has been to make clear (both publicly in this thread and privately elsewhere) that this was not acceptable and should not be repeated. An assurance has been given that this will not be repeated. At this point, I think the matter can be considered closed.
