I use T5.0 and T5.1 with Tomcat v6.0 on Ubuntu 9.10 for app development, with TapestrySpringFilter and have not had any problems with default security manager settings.

TapestryFilter at line 88 try to get the system property tapestry.execution-mode and tomcat6 on ubuntu 9.10 as a policy (security) restriction on system properties letting only java.io.tmpdir (or maybe a little more) to be read. So, there's anyone here using tomcat6, on ubuntu or any other platform, that may tell me if that setting is due to ubuntu o tomcat defaults? If that is tomcat6 it seems something to be told on deployment notes, don't you think so? BTW Jetty works very very well and didn't have given to me any gotchas so far...
