Hi, It surprises me not having heard about this yet, so I might be doing something wrong.
Running the maven command as per the tutorial (with/without the archetypeVersion parameter), I get the following error: > [ERROR] BUILD ERROR > [INFO] > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > [INFO] Error creating from archetype > > Embedded error: The META-INF/maven/archetype.xml descriptor cannot be found. It seems to me as if quickstart-5.0.6.jar contains META-INF/archetype.xml instead. I'd move it if I could but I guess I'd have to sign the jar which I can't. In any case, I'm puzzled by the fact that I can't find any previous reports on this. I encountered this a little more than a week ago, and thought things were just in the middle of a change, but today is no luck either. If it's any help, I'm using Maven 2.0.7 on Debian Lenny. I could try getting maven from upstream, but don't have Windows handy. Does anyone have any ideas? Am I doing something wrong or should I wait for things to clear up?
