Kevin, sa-update is, indeed, a means to "update the SA rules so we don't have to update the whole package all the time", or something like that. RulesDuJour should probably be considered a way to supplement SA's rules with those built by the SARE ninjas and others. The sa-update channel is the remote location of the updated SA rules that sa-update fetches. Clear?
