using the DAG site and rpm -U, I updated spamassassin and spamassissin-tools to 
3.1.7-1
Things don't look so good. Here is what happened when I restarted spamd

I don't see anything mentioned about this in 
 /usr/share/doc/spamassassin-3.1.7/UPGRADE
