That, of course, is up to you. If you've got a shell account that you can run whatever you want on, do it. It doesn't sound like you're currently in that position. You could consider getting yourself in that position with your current provider, or another provider, or colo, or a VPS, or...


Of course, if you're currently paying for email service / spam filtering you could provide your service provider with samples of the spam and ask them to do something about it.
