Thank you, Daryl. I guess that I'm up to date on those rules so I need to tweak elsewhere. I read in the man page that the default directory is /var/lib/spamassassin/3.001007. That directory does not exist here. I have /usr/share/spamassassin which contains rules (it had a few and I copied over the rest from /etc/mail/spamassassin/rules. If the directory structure created by my manual installation of the 3.1.17 upgrade, where can I learn what that structure should be? Rich -- Richard B.
