Here an other hint:
Every day I execute the following command and force an expire of the Bayes DB:
/usr/bin/sa-learn --dbpath /var/amavis/.spamassassin 
-p  /var/amavis/.spamassassin/user_prefs  -u vscan --force-expire

In local.cf I have the following entries:
bayes_auto_expire 1
bayes_expiry_max_db_size 3000000
bayes_journal_max_size 102400

Can this be the reason for the Time out?
