No, that's actually wrong. You never want to use it to send or receive mail. You want it to be hit totally uninvited, not by accident. E.g. not not by some innocent but clueless doofus who thought it was your real email address, responds to it and, as a reward, gets his entire ISP in some blacklist somewhere.
