This, it seems to me, is exactly what it does.
Show me it working properly on a out-of-the-box rpm/ports config on a
direct connect, no NAT system. (ie "most people")
Amavis worked for me that way when I installed Suse Linux Enterprise Sever.
Great. However, I must add that I've gotten 5 e-mails from people
telling me that my configuration was broken because amavis and
ALL_TRUSTED worked just fine with amavisd-milter out of the box.
So I had them pull logs and headers...
And in every case it was broken and showed no sign of ever not being
broken. Which is the only possible response, because Petr never had the
"forge a header" function in the code to start with.
We have to take it away from "works for me" and into "actually works in
a demonstrable manner"...
Yeah, I agree, a lot of people apparently never noticed it was broken.
But I spend my life playing Devil in the Details, and I'm sure that this
stuff just doesn't work. I'll supply examples as soon as I have a break
from an emergency rebuild of a friend's e-commerce gateway because their
online shopping cart provider apparently collapsed :-(
