I see this argument a lot. IMHO if you can't wait 30 minutes for an email, then you should be using a phone, fax, or a car to drive over and talk to the person. Absolute last resort, when all else fails, you could use instant messege. Ewwwwwww!

But if you rely on email for time sensitive info.... you best rethink what you are doing :)
