Here are the vitals:
  Version: SpamAssassin 3.1.5
  Platform: Fedora Core 2
  Qmail 1.03 / Vpopmail / Qmail-Scanner 1.2.4

So here's the deal. E-mails are received by Qmail, scanned for viruses
(BitDefender) and spam by Qmail-Scanner, and put into the correct
mailboxes by Vpopmail. Qmail-Scanner appears to invoke spamc and uses
that to get the spam score for a message, and manually writes the score
into the message header. This part works fine and dandy. If I update the
local.cf file and change the required_hits option, spamc correctly picks
up the change and I see that changed number in new messages.

THE PROBLEM:
None of the custom message headers in the local.cf file are being added
into a message. Since Qmail-Scanner seems to only modify a message and
uses spamc to get the score for it, it just appears as if my system is
not configured so that SpamAssassin can add those headers into the
message.

So I'm looking for anyone that might have experience with this setup and
has it working properly. At first I thought of trying the Qmail-Scanner
mailing list, but since this may be an issue with how I installed
SpamAssassin (I used the most basic setup: perl Makefile.PL,make, make
install), I figured I'd try here first. Please help! :)
