**warning message from newbie**

I've inherited an installation of SA version 3.0.1 on an OS X server (10.4) and it does not seem to be working properly. It's running with Communigate as the mail server. It seems to be scanning the messages, it is adding the headers like this:

X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.0.1 (2004-10-22) on xxxxxxxx X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=0.0 required=5.0 tests=none autolearn=ham version=3.0.1
    X-Tff-Cgpsa-Version: 1.4
    X-Tff-Cgpsa-Filter: Scanned

So it's up and running, right? But it is not flagging any messages that are spam. Most messages have headers like the one above:

Perhaps you have an outdated version?
Search the archive ... ;-).

X-Spam-Status: No, score=0.0 required=5.0 tests=none autolearn=ham version=3.0.1

Which seem to me like it is not even testing it. Most messages come in with a score of 0.0, even if the message is clearly spam. The highest I've seen so far is a score of 3.9 which still is not high enough to get SA to mark it as spam.

The tests only appear/are listed if a test "hits" ...

My question is how do I troubleshoot this to figure out why the spam is not getting tested properly?

Thank you,
Ben
