Is there a control panel that will use /etc/passwd for authentication?
I found websuerprefs but it looks like it would have to be copied to
each users home directory and then use htpasswd which would be
cumbersome. I'm hoping to find something that users can log in with
their regular mail username / password and then be able to edit their
prefs.
There is https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=124386
php-sa-mysql, uses mysql to store user preferences and uses pop or imap
to authenticate the users.
I haven't been maintaining it lately because none of my users use it.
It should work with 3.x as I don't think there were any changes that
required fixing from 3.0 to 3.1.
I don't have the actual files uploaded there but one of the devs seems
to have placed a squirrelmail version up that is 3.x compatible.
I can send you the 3.x standalone version as well if you like but it
requires register globals to be on. It really needs to be re-written
but I'm short on time and it isn't high on my list right now.
