Now I'm confused. Are you saying that running sendmail with procmail as the LDA is a Bad Thing? As I understand it, it does exactly what you're describing when a user is over quota (but I admit my understanding might be flawed). Either way, do you have recommendations on how to get sendmail to check quota before accepting mail? Some milter, perhaps?
